SkyMall, the Phoenix, AZ-based e-commerce retailer and airline catalog marketer, has received an $8 million infusion from Wand Partners, a private equity investment firm. The equity transaction involves just over 1.1 million shares of SkyMall’s common stock, with each share valued at seven dollars. Additionally, a representative from Wand Partners will be appointed to SkyMall’s board of directors.
Wand Partners is an investment firm whose portfolio includes Cyber Dialogue, an Internet customer relationship management firm; Yankelovich Partners, a market research firm; and catalogers Paragon Gifts and Popcorn Factory.
