SKILL SETTING

WPP Group, London, acquired two more marketing companies. Its Ogilvy Group unit purchased U.K.-based Dialogue Marketing Partnership Ltd., which posted $4.8 million in revenues last year and has Burger King and Gillette as clients. WPP also took a 49-percent stake in New York City-based UniWorld Group, a 30-year-old cultural marketing agency whose clients include Ford Motor Co., Microsoft Corp., and AT&T. UniWorld had billings of nearly $230 million in 1999.
