ALC of New York LLC has formed NetMail, a new division that provides e-mail list management and brokerage, Internet marketing services and a broad range of interactive consulting. The Polk Co. has awarded management of its 325,000-name NetSelector e-mail list to the new unit.

ECM, the e-mail services division of Bigfoot International, has renamed itself Bigfoot Interactive to better reflect its full menu of offerings. The unit was started two years ago to offer e-delivery and tracking, but has since added creative and software development, strategy consultation and data mart creation, according to Larry Freedman, director of business strategic partnerships.

Homestore.com and Cendant Corp. have settled their pending litigation, the firms said on Friday. As part of the settlement, Cendant will receive 250,000 shares of Homestore.com’s common stock, and other provisions of their prior alliance agreements will go forward. Cendant will help Homestore.com in marketing Web-based products and services to brokers and sales associates of Cendant’s Century 21, Coldwell Banker and ERA residential real estate franchise systems.

The Direct Marketing Association is forming the Information Service Executive Council, a forum for high-level data compilers and marketers. The council’s mandate includes identifying and clarifying legislative and regulatory concerns; building consensus around information policy positions for both the council and the DMA; and facilitating the exchange of noncompetitive information between council members. Michael Turner has been chosen as the council’s director.
