QRS Music Technologies Inc. of Naples, FL, has introduced a commercial line of musical instruments under the Gulbransen brand, which will be sold by catalog and online. Its product line ranges from violins to pianos.

Verizon Wireless has opened a $30 million call center in Wilmington, NC. The 160,000-square-foot facility will house 900 employees. By the end of next year about 1,200 people are expected to work in the new center.

The U.S. Postal Service has added a new online tool to its Web site USPS.com that allows mailers to design and create Business Reply Mail (BRM) and Courtesy Reply Mail (CRM), which can be downloaded directly to printers.

Hanover Direct Inc., based in Edgewater, NJ, has promoted Hallie Sturgill to vice president and controller. Sturgill has served as assistant controller since May 1997. He is replacing William C. Kingsform who recently resigned his position as senior vice president of treasury and control.
