Draft Chicago has landed an account from the Los Angeles Times. Draft will be responsible for developing direct marketing and subscriber retention programs for the newspaper, in addition to supporting the Times’ analytics, strategic planning and market research. The newspaper publishes a national edition and five regional editions in Southern California.

New York-based Agency.com and the Marketplace LLC unit of Cambridge, MA-based Monitor Group have formed a research consortium to explore best practices for integrating marketing services with Web sites, kiosks and call centers. Much of the research will involve a survey.
