Sharper Image Sweepstakes To Build Online Channel

The Sharper Image, San Francisco, has launched the “Win the Chair” sweepstakes, in which six entrants will win a new Quad Roller Get-A-Way Massage Chair. The sweepstakes is an integrated offline and online promotion tying together in-store promotional displays and catalog branding with an interactive online. All three components will be used to drive customers to The Sharper Image’s Web site (http://www.sharperimage.com).

Through the sweepstakes, The Sharper Image hopes to draw customers online with a branding effort to help the company build loyalty with its customers across multiple channels.

The Sharper Image’s “Win the Chair” sweepstakes will run for six months, from Aug. 1 until Jan. 31, 2000. The sweepstakes is being run by Webstakes.com, an online sweepstakes promotions company, Webstakes.com will collect the email addresses of both online and offline entrants to build an extensive opt in database for The Sharper Image.
