Kanoodle, a service that provides sponsored links to search engine results, has named Lance Podell, its president, to chief executive officer, effective immediately. Podell will replace company founder Ken Keating in the position. Keating will serve as Kanoodle’s chairman.
Podell’s duties will include continuing to drive sales of sponsored links, and signing up Web-based publishers for the New York-based firm’s services. Podell has been with Kanoodle since December 2003, when he joined the firm from Primedia’s About.com. Primedia also owns Direct Newsline.
