Rodale Inc., Emmaus, PA, has named Steven Pleshette Murphy president and COO effective April 3.
Murphy, 45, replaces Robert J. Teufel, who is retiring after serving the company as president and COO since 1979.
Prior to joining Rodale, Murphy worked as executive vice president and managing director for Disney Publishing Worldwide. During his tenure, Murphy was responsible for the division’s global expansion of its book, magazine and direct marketing business operations.
