Children’s clothing cataloger the Right Start Inc., based in Westlake Village, CA, reported earnings of $667,000 for the quarter ended Jan. 30, up from a loss of $2.3 million for the same period last year.
Total sales increased 14.1% to $10.7 million from $9.4 million last year. Catalog sales were $1.16 million, down slightly from $1.2 million last year.
For the fiscal year, the company reported an operating loss of $2.4 million, down from an operating loss of $8.1 million last year. Losses were shrunk to $682,000, down from a loss of $5.8 million the previous year.
Catalog sales dropped to $4.7 million from $7.4 million last year.
