Reader’s Digest, hardware.com Join to Reach D.I.Y. Market

Hardware.com, an e-tailer of home improvement products, and Reader’s Digest have agreed to share resources in the home do-it-yourself arena. Hardware.com will feature content from The Family Handyman, a Reader’s Digest magazine.

Hardware.com also received $5 million from Reader’s Digest in return for a minority equity position and a seat on hardware.com’s board of directors. Hardware.com announced that it has contracted for an additional $9 million in venture capital funding.
