Quebecor World Inc. will acquire the European printing assets of Hachette Filipacchi Medias.
Included among the assets are Hachette’s 50% interest in Helio Charleroi in Belgium, and printing and bindery facilities in France.
As part of the deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, Hachette has agreed to have Quebecor World print many of its magazines.
Operating on long-run gravure presses, the plants in both France and Belgium print magazines, catalogs and retail inserts.
Compagnie Nationale a Portefeuille) will partner with Quebecor World for three years in the Helio Charleroi facility.
