Quebecor Sells Off U.S. CD-ROM Plants for $63 Million

Quebecor World, the Montreal-based printer, has reached agreement to sell its two CD-ROM manufacturing and fulfillment facilities to Vancouver-based Q-Media for $63 million in cash and stock. The deal is expected to close May 31.

“This divestiture is in line with our growth strategy and will enable Quebecor World to better focus on its core business,” said CEO Charles Cavell, in a statement.
