Pier 1 Imports Inc. posted a net loss of $10 million for the third quarter compared to a net loss of $72.7 million in the prior year.
The Fort Worth, TX firm reported sales of $374.2 million for the quarter ended Dec. 1, a 7.1% decrease from sales of $402.7 million last year.
Management attributed these results in part to expenses associated with the shuttering of Pier 1 Kids.
