Online marketer and retailer PetsMart Inc. reported third quarter net income of $20.7 million, versus net income of $5.8 million for the same period in 2001.
Net sales for the quarter were $657 million, compared to $599 million last year. Services sales for the third quarter were $36.7 million, up $8.6 million, or 30.5% from the period in 2001.
Year to date, sales were $2.0 billion, an increase of 10.9%, or $191 million.
