Chris Paradysz, CEO of ParadyszMatera, has been named List Leader of the Year by the Direct Marketing Association’s List and Database Council.
Paradysz started his career in the list industry as a senior account executive at American List Counsel in 1985. He served as president of the Paradysz Group Inc. from 1989 to 1990, and formed the New York-based ParadyszMatera partnership with Angelo Matera in 1990.
Paradysz has spoken and taught at numerous direct marketing functions and served as co-chair of The DMA List Leaders. He also serves as a board member of the Dick Benson Scholarship Fund and is an active member of both the Lupis Foundation and Children International.
“[Paradysz’s] initiatives have moved ParadyszMatera past traditional boundaries, and into a new arena of technology and client service. His professionalism and commitment to the industry and The DMA sets a standard for others to follow,” said Stefanie Pont, vice president, corporate media director at Brann and chair of The DMA List/Database Council, in a statement.
Paradysz’s achievements will be recognized during an Aug. 11 dinner at New York’s Manhattan Penthouse during the DMA’s List Vision 2003 Conference.
The List Leader of the Year award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the list and database community and have been active in at least one of several areas, including ethics, education, list practices and standards, privacy issues, postal reform, communications or environmental concerns.
