If National Football League teams score big in playoff contests, Papa John’s customers can win deep pizza discounts.
Hyping its text message ordering, Papa John’s Pizza launched a promotion over the weekend offering discounts to customers who send a simple text message during the NFL playoffs.
Fans who text message “Points” to 47272 (4PAPA) or register to receive text messages from Papa John’s at http://www.papajohns.com prior to NFL playoff games will have a shot at pizza discounts, depending on the points scored in each week’s contests. If the total score of a game in the wild card and divisional rounds hits 25 points or more, those registered will receive a promo code text message from Papa John’s worth 25% off the price of the national average price for a large pizza ordered online the following week.
For the conference championships on Jan. 20, if 50 points are scored in either game, consumers can get a 50% discount on a large pizza. For the Super Bowl, a 75-point total score will give fans a 75% discount for online orders the week after the big game.
“As the only national pizza company to offer test message ordering throughout the country, Papa John’s is eager to introduce customers to the newest and most convenient way to order their game day essentials,” said Jim Ensign, Papa John’s vice president of marketing communications, in a statement.
