Online Spending To Lap Print: Outsell

Spending on digital and online advertising and marketing will overtake print in 2010, according to projections from Outsell Inc.

Outsell, a research and advisory firm which serves the publishing and information industries, predicted companies will spend $119.6 billion on online and digital strategies, including search engine keywords to webinars. At the same time, they will allocate $111.5 billion to print ads.

Overall, U.S. spending on advertising and marketing will increase in 2010, but by just 1.2%, to $368 billion, according to Outsell.
