Nike Names New VP for Global Sports Marketing

John Slusher has been named vice president of global sports marketing for Nike Inc.

Slusher, 38, has been Nike’s vice president of sports marketing for Asia Pacific and the Americas. He replaces Adam Helfant, who leaves Nike later this month.

Along with overseeing strategy in the Asia Pacific and Americas regions, Slusher has managed dealings with U.S. pro leagues. He has also led negotiations teams for many Nike marketing deals, including those for Brand Jordan and Converse. He will report to Nike CEO Mark Parker.

Slusher joined Nike in 1998.
