7UP PLUS: has signed Desperate Housewives stars Marcia Cross and Nicolette Sheridan to pitch the brand’s new flavors, Cherry and Island Fruit. The two will appear in television ads that premiere Monday. The new flavors are available nationwide. 7UP Plus has previously used Sex and the City stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis and talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Rippa in its campaigns.

GRAND CENTRAL MARKETING: has hired Ted Skala as an account director. Skala, who started July 1, is managing the Cargo Caravan tour for Cargo Magazine, and is working on upcoming promotions for National Geographic and the National Hockey League. Skala comes to Grand Central Marketing from Integrated Marketing Services, where he was VP and director of project management, and will be based out of its New York office.

AMAZON.COM: has launched the first The O.C.-branded women’s fashion collection, Necessary Objects, on its online story Amazon.com/apparel. The new, 12-piece collection captures the young, contemporary look that is synonymous with characters and the life style portrayed on The O.C., with prices ranging from $38 to $78. In addition, Amazon rolled out a dedicated boutique that lets fans buy all things The O.C., including DVDs, CDs, online at Amazon.com/theoc. The third season of The O.C. begins Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
