CONAGRA: is reprising its Pam for Grilling contest, dangling a grand-prize $10,000 and customized Char-Broil grill. The contest, dubbed The Most Pam-azing Griller 2006, asks grillers to submit an essay by May 31; 200 entrants will be chosen to compete in “grill-offs” in 10 cities (Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Columbus Des Moines, Jacksonville, Knoxville, San Antonio, Charleston, and Tampa). Another 20 contestants will compete via video. Twenty grill-off finalists travel to New York City for an Aug. 19 cook-off. Pam for Grilling co-sponsors the second annual contest with grill manufacturer Char-Broil.

CKX, INC.: has acquired an 80% interest in the rights to the name, image and likeness of Muhammad Ali, including certain trademarks owned by Ali and his affiliates and all existing Ali license agreements. Ali will retain a 20% interest in the business, which will be operated through a newly formed company named G.O.A.T., LLC, which stands for “Greatest of All Time,” a name by which Ali is recognized globally.

FREMANTLEMEDIA LICENSING WORLDWIDE: has appointed Nora Wong to licensing manager, Americas, effective March 20. In this newly created position, Wong will manage licensing for key FremantleMedia brands, including American Idol, The Price is Right and Family Feud for apparel, health and beauty and publishing categories. She will be based in the company’s Santa Monica office and will report to David Luner, VP-licensing, FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide, Americas.
