SARA LEE BRANDED APPAREL: has appointed Kevin Hall to the new position of executive VP and CMO, effective immediately. Hall, 47, will supervise Sara Lee Branded Apparel’s U.S. consumer marketing activities for its Hanes, Champion, Playtex, Bali, L’eggs, Just My Size, Barely There and Wonderbra brands. He will report to Richard A. Noll, CEO, Sara Lee Branded Apparel. Previously, Hall worked as senior VP-marketing for Fidelity Investments Retirement Services Company in Boston. Prior to that, Hall worked at Procter & Gamble for 16 years where he oversaw brands including Pantene, Old Spice, Secret, Pert Plus and Vidal Sassoon. Sara Lee Branded Apparel is currently a part of Sara Lee Corp. In February 2005, the company said it planned to spin off its Branded Apparel, Americas/Asia business, into a publicly traded company named Hanesbrands, Inc. The spin off is expected to be complete by September.
