KEF AUDIO AMERICA: Marlboro, NJ, has hired EastWest Creative, New York, to handle U.S. marketing for the high-end audio parts maker. KEF is a division of U.K. firm GP Acoustics.

BEECH-NUT NUTRITION CORP.: has moved its $8 million advertising account to Schupp Co., St Louis, from Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners, New York. The work includes direct mail and online as well as print advertising.

SPRINT: and AirPlay Network, Inc., unveiled a free option where subscribers use their wireless phones to play along with the live 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards broadcast on Aug. 27. Sprint viewers can text the word Emmy to number 7777 on Sprint or Nextel phones to access a game showing the line-up of this year’s Emmy categories. Players compete against reality TV host Jeff Probst. As the live action unfolds, players can see how their predictions compare with the outcome and how they stack up against Probst, a predetermined group or the national audience. Players accrue points for correct answers and also have the opportunity to score bonus points by answering trivia questions during the live broadcast of the show. Subscribers also have access to polls during and after the show.

THE CHILDREN’S ADVERTISING REVIEW UNIT: of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Warner Brothers refrain from advertising Superman Returns during television children’s programming hours. The ads aired on Cartoon Network during Saturday morning cartoons. The rating of the movie, PG-13, and its products and content are inappropriate for children and should not be advertised to children, CARU found. Warner Bros. does not plan to appeal the decision.
