New Ad Sales Exec for AOL Interactive

America Online tapped Lisa Brown as executive VP of the interactive marketing group, replacing Bob Sherman, who retired (again) as president of AOL last month.

Brown joined AOL last November as VP of the marketing and strategy solutions group. Sherman had originally retired after the completion of AOL’s Time Warner acquisition, but came back last year to help reorganize AOL’s ad sales unit.

AOL is overhauling its ad sales strategy as the company tries to deal with spending declines and an SEC probe into its sales reporting.

Last week, the company named former Burger King VP-USA marketing Richard Taylor to the new position of senior VP-brand promotion (April 30 Xtra).
