MyPoints Completes Acquisition of Experian Technology

Online loyalty marketer MyPoints.com, based in San Francisco, has completed its acquisition of database marketing services firm Experian’s Internet loyalty technology.

The acquisition, made with $2.4 million of the proceeds from MyPoints.com’s recent initial public offering, gives MyPoints.com outright ownership of the technology it uses to operate its online rewards program, MyPoints, which rewards Internet shoppers for filling out detailed personal profiles, and reading and responding to targeted e-mail and Web-based offers from the Company’s 200-plus advertisers.
