MSC Industrial Direct Co. Inc. posted net income of $40.3 million for the first quarter, a 26.2% increase over $31.9 million in the prior year.
The industrial supplies direct marketer reported net sales of $402 million for the quarter ended Nov. 25, a 35.9% gain over $295.9 million last year.
