MPC Computers has signed a two-year agreement to be the corporate sponsor of the NCAA football post-season game formerly known as the Humanitarian Bowl.
The bowl game, played annually in Boise, will be renamed the MPC Computers Bowl.
In addition to naming rights, the bowl sponsorship includes stadium signage, the company name on the field of Bronco Stadium at Boise State University, television commercials during ESPN’s telecast of the December contest, and sponsorship of pre- and post-game festivities, company spokesperson Elissa Reid said.
MPC Computers had been a bowl-game sponsor in the past, when the company was known as Micron-PC. An annual bowl game played for 10 years in Miami was known as the Micron-PC Bowl from 1998-2000.
“It’s a chance for us to get back into bowl sponsorship, but this is extremely special because it is in our backyard,” Reid said.
