Mother and Daughter Indicted for Doctoring Sweeps Forms

A mother and daughter have been indicted on mail fraud charges for allegedly doctoring winning sweepstakes entry forms in a Pittsburgh TV station watch and win game.

Sonya Rosenberger used her computer to make fake entry forms for Pittsburgh station WTAE-TV’s Watch 4 Win More contest after the winning numbers were broadcast. She is accused of bilking the station out of $95,500, according to news reports.

Rosenberger, 27, was charged along with her mother, Alanna Ridenour, 45, who used the forms to get $12,000 from the station.

Station employees are credited with detecting the scam.
