MDC Corp. Inc. reported net income of $1.3 million for the first quarter, down from $12.1 million last year.
The Canadian direct marketing giant posted consolidated sales of $209.8 million for the quarter ended March 31, off 23% from $271.3 million last year.
The firm’s secure transactions division reported sales of $66.2 million for the first quarter, down 49% from the $131 million last year.
For the first quarter, Maxxcom , the firm’s direct response agency, reported sales of $143.5 million, up $3.2 million from the $140.3 million last year.
