Marvel Entertainment Inks Licensing Deal with OnTrack Sports
Marvel Entertainment has signed a licensing agreement with OnTrack Sports to produce a set of its accu-length expandable junior golf clubs branded with the superhero’s image and logo.
It’s the latest licensing deal for Marvel’s web-slinging character.
The golf sets, sporting Spider-Man logos on the driver, putter, iron and golf bag, are slated to hit store shelves in November for $69.99. They’re intended for beginning duffers, aged 3 through 7.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for OnTrack Sports to continue bonding with young players while helping them take their first steps towards enjoying golf as a lifetime sport,” Rick Rutter, OnTrack president and founder, said in a statement.
The licensing deal with Marvel, which spawned Spider-Man in its comics division, enables OnTrack to produce beginners’ golf bags, towels, gloves, hats and visors, balls and tees branded with the super-hero’s logo.
