Lowe Launches Lowe Consumer Healthcare

Lowe & Partners and Lowe Healthcare Worldwide have launched a joint venture to exploit the direct-to-consumer marketing of prescription drugs and other medical and healthcare products. The new unit, Lowe Consumer Healthcare, will be headed by Jim Sandino. Sandino had been managing director of Lowe McAdams Direct.

The agency’s opening accounts include Hoffmann-La Roche’s Xenical and Schering-Plough’s Nasonex. While the billings for those two accounts are undisclosed, the shop claims initial annual billings of $50 million.
