LOEWS ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET

In preparation for the Oscars, Loews Cineplex Entertainment is letting moviegoers select their own top five award picks. By casting their votes in theaters from Friday through March 23 (the date of the telecast), consumers are automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a private advance screening of Paramount’s “The Core” for 99 friends.

Meanwhile, Loews has teamed with Tarrytown, NY-based Dannon for a Danimals Movie Madness Pajama Party sweepstakes. Packages of Danimals drinkable and cup yogurts next month will carry entry details. One grand-prize winner and 25 friends score a limousine ride to a Loews theater for a night of movies and cartoons.

Plus, Loews is distributing a “Women’s Wear Daily Oscar” issue in New York City and Los Angeles from March 14 through 16, in addition to the “Women’s Wear Daily Golden Globes” issue now in theaters. The New York City-based theater chain ran a similar Hollywood Celebration promotion last year.
