Live From PROMO Expo: Quantum RewardsCard Gives Brands New Options

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Quantum Loyalty Systems on Monday launched its new Quantum Rewards MasterCard, a stored value card that reaches consumers through big-name brands. The company debuted the new card at the show.

The rewards card lets brands offer a host of rewards to consumers at retailers, gas stations, music stores, movie theaters, clothing stores supermarkets, home improvement stores— MasterCard is accepted. Cards can be customized and used on-pack, as handouts, as customer mail-ins or online.

Unlike other stored value cards, Quantum RewardsCards only charges brands for the card when consumers activate the cards, Stephen H. Denny, executive VP, sales and marketing for Quantum Loyalty Systems, explained. The card has no monthly service fees or hidden charges.

Brands can make the card reloadable to create a customer loyalty program or offer it for a single use, Denny said. In addition, consumers can redeem the Quantum RewardsCard anywhere MasterCard debit cards are accepted, he said. For example, Quantum Loyalty Systems can design a home improvement rewards card that can be used at any home improvement retailer or department store.

“It’s a reward for being loyal to the brand,” Denny said.

To kick off the launch of its product, the Incline Village, NV-based company enticed attendees at the Expo to drop by its booth to sample the product. At registration, every attendee received a mock up of one of its cards included in their badge holder incenting attendees to come to the booth to receive two free movie admissions valid for any movie at any location.

“Sampling is fun, sampling is exceptional when you have a good product,” Denny said. “It is death if you have a bad product. This is a good product.”

In addition, Quantum Loyalty Systems challenged visitors to enter the Quantum Marketing Challenge contest. Visitors who entered had to submit a narrative on why using the Quantum Rewards MasterCard to promote sales could benefit their brand. The top winner, selected by a team of judges following the show, gets 10,0000 free Quantum RewardsCards.

Online materials and p.r. will support the product launch following the show.
