F+W Publications Inc. has retained ClientLogic Specialists Marketing Services to oversee 15 magazine lists and five book club files. Data cards have been released already for Country’s Best Log Homes (42,743 subscribers) and Log Homes Illustrated (40,486 subscribers). The appointment for the rest of the magazine and book club lists is effective Oct. 17. These other magazine files have counts ranging from 14,000 for International Design Magazine to 171,000 for Horticulture magazine. The North Light Book Club is the largest of the continuity files with more than 50,000 names. Millard Group has been managing these lists.

The names of 32,754 Mexican consumers have been assembled on Premiere Exclusives DRTV Mail Order Buyers Mexico, a list that combines TV, Web site and catalog buyers. Products were sold in the home, health and beauty, fitness and home entertainment categories. Most orders were in the $150 to $175 range. Sixty-five percent of orders were paid for with credit cards. Other methods of payment included pre-paid bank deposits and C.O.D.

Media Horizons Management now oversees the blow-in and bind-in program for the Overton’s Boating and Water Sports Catalog. More than 14.4 million catalogs are mailed annually. One insert per catalog will be accepted. Inserts must be between 3-1/2 by 5 inches and 6 by 6 inches, weighing no more than .25 ounce. List Services Corp. formerly managed this program.

Direct mail is the primary source. Enertex Marketing Inc. previously managed this database.

DM Firms Rally for Katrina Survivors

A Web site has been established for direct marketers to make donations to help Habitat for Humanity provide new homes for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The site www.dmrelief.org was launched with the help of LDS Group Inc. and American List Counsel Inc. The site will be active through the end of October.

Tracy Donahue has become vice president of sales at the Catamount Group. Donahue was previously at Mal Dunn Associates Inc.
