Lillian Vernon Corp., Rye, NY, has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of Rue de France Inc.
Newport, RI-based Rue de France is a privately owned retailer of home furnishings that markets its products through catalogs.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“We are looking at synergies and cost savings between the two companies, but no firm plans have been made what to move, when and where,” David Hochberg, Lillian Vernon spokesman, told DIRECT Newsline.
Pamela Kelley, Rue de France’s founder, has joined Lillian Vernon Corp. under a multi-year contract as president of a newly formed LVC subsidiary, which acquired the assets of Rue de France.
