[Re: Loose Cannon: Dead-On Target Marketing, Direct Newsline, January 22, 2007 (directmag.com/loosecannon/loose-cannon-dead-on-target-marketing-012207/)]:
I absolutely loved Loose Cannon, and I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of the “Good Day” email in my “canned ham” folder!
Hmmm…I wonder if the spammer considered testing an HMTL version? Nothing fancy, but creatively using a few choice graphics or stock photography could really deliver the kind of impact that they are hoping to make!

Thank you for the delicious double whammy of original extortion letter and the copywriter’s advice. It’s straight out of Get Shorty, only funnier! What can I say? You slay me.

Too complicated. You should probably have a Nigerian connection — they know how to make these things work. You need cash payments in amounts that go under the radar of Home Security, not to mention a truly gullible public … Actually that’s not as hard as I thought. Go for it and keep notes. You could then roll it out as a Get Rich Quick scheme. That is what direct mail was made to do wasn’t it?

Sounds like you’ve written the first chapter of a new book: “Inside Tips from the Lock-Up: Ten Ideas From Someone Who’s Really Inside.”
