Lands’ End Appoints Three Vice Presidents

Lands’ End, Dodgeville, WI, has appointed three vice presidents in the company’s operations area.

Joan Conlin was promoted to vice president operations, distribution; Ann Vesperman to vice president operations, customer services; and Harry Schutte to vice president operations, corporate sales and international. All are newly created vice president positions and are promotions from existing director-level positions.

Conlin will manage all aspects of Lands’ End’s distribution centers in Dodgeville and Reedsburg, WI., including receipt of merchandise, order filling, packing, shipping, monogramming and hemming. She joined the company in 1982 and has held management positions in retail, sales and service prior to overseeing the Dodgeville warehouse.

Vesperman joined the cataloger in 1997 and has managed the 3,300 sales and service personnel in the company’s three Wisconsin phone centers since that time. She most recently oversaw the training and introduction of Lands’ End Live, a personal help feature on the company’s Web site at http://www.landsend.com

Schutte will expand his facility planning and operations background from international to include corporate sales, the Lands’ End division that sells quantity merchandise to businesses and organizations. He joined the company 10 years ago and oversaw warehouse and phone center operations for Lands’ End Japan in the mid-90s and then expanded his operations focus to include Germany and the UK, locations where the company also has in-country facilities.
