Kaspersky Lab, a Russian developer of secure online content management systems, has acquired Spamtest, a spam fighting project, for an undisclosed sum.
Under the agreement, Kaspersky will gain control of all elements of the Spamtest Project, especially its technology that detects and filters unwanted mass e-mails based on message content analysis using the Spamtest filter.
In addition to the Spamtest technology, the merger will include the Web site Spamtest.ru, a service which offers free online scanning of user, correspondence and the weekly e-magazine Spamtest.
