Junkbusters Corp., a consumer-privacy advocacy group, has asked the George W. Bush for President campaign to withdraw its list of contributors from its Web site.
The letter asserts that such a list puts the privacy of the donors at risk and that a footnote claiming that “Any use of this copyrighted information for commercial purposes is prohibited and permission will be strictly denied” is unlikely to be supported by current laws in the United States.
