DM Management plans to launch a retail version of J.Jill, with 5 to 10 stores slated to open in fiscal 2000.
As part of the retail plans, DM Management created a new position, president. J.Jill Retail, and selected Dennis Adomaitis to fill it. Adomaitis had been with Warner Bros.
In addition, Patty Lee was promoted to president, J.Jill merchandising. She had been executive vice president, J.Jill. The company also retained Management Horizons, a division of PrecewaterhouseCoopers, to help with the retail launch.
Furthermore, the board of directors approved a name change for DM Management to The J.Jill Group. The new name will be voted on at the annual shareholders meeting on May 25, 1999.
