J.C. Penney Launches Magazine For Women 35 To 54

J. C. Penney Company Inc. Plano, TX, plans to launch RealYou, a women’s fashion and lifestyle magazine targeting working women ages 35 to 54–a key customer segment for the company.

Described in a statement as a value-added product that rewards certain current and potential customers, RealYou will have a circulation of 4 million copies, which will be mailed to customers’ homes.

The 100-page magazine debuts in February with 65 pages of editorial, covering careers, finance, relationships, fashion, home decor and health.

The magazine follows J.C. Penney’s 1999 launch of Noise, a teen title with a circulation of 3.5 million. Noise and RealYou are published by Redwood Custom Communications Inc. on behalf of J.C. Penney.
