Online women’s network iVillage Inc., New York, will implement another round of layoffs, cutting 200 people, about half of its staff, just after completing its purchase of rival Women.com, according to Reuters.
Earlier this month, the New York-based company cut 30% of Women.com’s staff and in April iVillage cut nearly 10% of its work force.
A little more than half of the latest cuts, which brings the total staff down to about 200 people, will come from the iVillage side of operations while a little less than half will come from Women.com.
A company spokesman said this was the end of the layoffs and that the layoffs would not result in any reduction in services.
