InfoUSA Hires Susan Henricks as Executive VP

InfoUSA has named Susan Henricks executive vice president. Henricks will join the Omaha -based compiler from First Data Enterprises, where she is serving as managing director of client development. The infoUSA appointment is effective Aug. 1.

Henricks’ duties will include helping with the integration of the recently acquired Donnelley Marketing into the infoUSA organization, according to an infoUSA spokesperson.

Henricks previously served as president and CEO of Metromail Corp.

Metromail, now part of Experian, had sued First Data over its hiring of Henricks, claiming that her employment violated a non-compete agreement she had signed. Henricks denied this at the time, maintaining that she would not be involved in any aspect of direct mail for First Data.

The two companies reached an accord in February 1998. Although terms of the settlement were not disclosed, Metromail’s original suit did not ask for monetary damages; instead, the company had sought an injunction that would have prevented First Data from employing or receiving assistance from Henricks.

The non-compete, which went into effect when Henricks left Metromail in late December 1997, had an 18-month term and would have recently expired.
