InfoUSA Appoints Naviant Founder President of Donnelley Marketing

InfoUSA has named Ray Butkus president of its Donnelley Marketing unit. Al Ambrosino, who is currently serving as president, will remain in that position until March 31, 2003. Ambrosino will then serve as head of strategic planning and business development for both the large business and e-mail marketing divisions following a three month sabbatical.

Butkus most recently was founder, president and COO of Naviant Marketing Solutions, a Web marketing company. While at Naviant, he directed all aspects of sales, marketing, engineering, operations and product development from the company’s inception in 1999, through its sale to Atlanta-based Equifax, Inc.

Before launching Naviant, Butkus spent 20 years with AT&T Corp. in a variety of senior level marketing positions.

Separately, ClickAction Inc. stockholders approved the merger transaction between infoUSA and ClickAction. Under terms of the merger agreement announced on October 8, Omaha, NE-based infoUSA will acquire all of ClickAction’s outstanding stock for up to $4.1 million in cash, of which $1.4 million will be paid to its preferred stockholders and the remaining balance, subject to adjustment, will be paid to the common stockholders.
