Quarter Harte-Hanks Inc., San Antonio, TX, had a 10.8% revenue increase in 1999, from $748.5 million to $829.7 million. Net income for the year rose 8.8%, from $67.1 million to $72.9 million.
For the fourth quarter, the company’s revenue jumped 18.1%, from $200.7 million to $237 million. Net income lagged, however, rising only 6.4%, from 19 million to $20.2 million. The quarter and the year ended Dec. 31.
Among the firm’s individual business segments, direct marketing saw revenue growth of 13.2% during the year and 21.2% in the fourth quarter. The revenue increase was spurred by the acquisition of Harte-Hanks Market Intelligence, which expanded the company’s customer relationship management offerings.
