HUNGRY-MAN SUPPORTS SECOND HARVEST

Pinnacle Foods Corp. has tied Hungry-Man and Swanson frozen foods to non-profit Second Harvest and Kroger Foods for a Stomp Out Hunger campaign running in-store through November. Team Hungry Man reps (dressed like the workmen on Hungry Man packages) will visit Kroger stores to carry shoppers’ groceries and raise awareness for the brand. For each purchase, Pinnacle will donate five cents (up to $25,000) to food-distribution program Second Harvest. Radio station live-remotes, p.r., and P-O-P support. Blue Chip Marketing & Communications, Northfield, IL, handles. Cherry Hill, NJ-based Pinnacle restaged Swanson in August after buying bankrupt Vlasic Foods (including Vlasic, Swanson, and Hungry-Man brands) in May 2001.
