Houston Man Sentenced in MO Pharmacy Scheme

A 49-year-old Houston man has been sentenced to a year in prison for illegally selling drugs through an Internet pharmacy, according to Karen Hewitt, U.S. Attorney in San Diego.

Kirtar Munshi was also fined $6,000 fine and ordered to give up $219,000 in profits from the illegal drug sales by U.S. District Judge Larry Alan Burns, according to Hewitt.

Munshi pleaded guilty last July to conspiracy in connection with the scheme in which he offered generic versions of the drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra via mail order, over the phone and through the Internet, according to the U.S. Attorney
