Life used to be simple.
A catalog would come in the mail. We’d order from that catalog or we wouldn’t. If we did order, it would be either by using the reasonably clear order form or by phone. The catalog company would fill the order, billing the proper stated amount and shipping the agreed merchandise.
Why do some of today’s catalogs have to complicate our lives and drive us to local outlet stores? Arrogance? Thoughtlessness? Ignorance? Infatuation with the Web? Informational separation of marketing from fulfillment? All of the above?
