Hartmarx Corp. has acquired online marketer Sweater.com Inc. for $12.4 million.
Bruce Gifford and Dan Jaffe will continue as president and executive vice president of Sweater.com, which will operate as an autonomous unit within the Hartmarx Women’s Apparel Group.
“Our affiliation will better enable us to expand our product offerings, further develop our Internet and achieve our sales and earnings growth objectives, ” said Hartmarx CEO Honi B. Patel in a statement.
