Cataloger Hanover Direct, Weehawken, NJ, has formed a technology alliance with HNC Internet Solutions, San Diego.
Under the agreement, HNC SelectCast technology will be used to execute Hanover-pioneered, proprietary applications to create targeted marketing offers and personalized customer-service programs. These proprietary programs will also be made available to third parties through Hanover’s Web services division.
In addition, Hanover has licensed a range of data-mining software, developed by HNC, to provide a “comprehensive program of attaining and retaining customers through automated behavior profiling on a customer-by-customer basis,” according to a statement.
