GREY UNIT SNARES ABSOLUT ON-PREMISE ACCOUNT

Grey Global Group design and branding unit G2, New York City, was named to handle on-premise marketing for the Absolut brand of vodkas.

The business will include the design of displays, promotional programs, collateral, and Web activity for campaigns running in bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. The work had previously been the responsibility of Upshot, Chicago, which will continue handling other segments of Absolut’s marketing program, according to a source at the brand.

Absolut is being distributed in the U.S. through a joint venture reached last month between Vin & Sprit of Sweden and Fortune Brands’ Jim Beam Brands Worldwide, Lexington, KY.
